At last the king could bear it no longer. He demanded of the stranger how much longer this locust business was going to go on for. "Your majesty", said the stranger, "they have only just begun. They have only taken from one tiny corner of the barn. As you know, those locusts will never rest until they have taken it all. Then another locust entered, took a grain.." "That's enough!" cried the king, "marry my daughter, take the reward. I couldn't bear to hear another word about those locusts." And the stranger lived happily ever after.
