In the North East of California, Burney Falls is a rarely visited, but rather breathtaking set of waterfalls that is reputed to have been visited by Teddy Roosevelt.

Mt. Shasta dominates the skyline of Northern California, rising 14,000 feet above sea level, and because of the volcanic nature of its origins, almost 11,000 feet above the surrounding countryside.
