  • The Rules of Validity
    1. There are 5 Rules to apply.
    2. If a categorical syllogism fails even a single Rule, it is invalid.
    3. The Rules cover Distribution (2), Negation (2), and Particularity (1).

  • Venn Diagrams
    1. Illustrate each of the Premises.
    2. Check to see if the diagram already shows the Conclusion.
    3. If the diagram already shows the Conclusion, then the argument is Valid.
