- The Rules of Validity
- There are 5 Rules to apply.
- If a categorical syllogism fails even a single Rule, it is invalid.
- The Rules cover Distribution (2), Negation (2), and Particularity (1).
- Venn Diagrams
- Illustrate each of the Premises.
- Check to see if the diagram already shows the Conclusion.
- If the diagram already shows the Conclusion, then the argument is Valid.
