10 Other cds that I'd take to the Desert Island instead of chocolate
Up-Right Said Fred
Just another fun cd. I love I'm Too Sexy
-pure laughs and Don't Talk, Just Kiss,
makes me want to find someone and have a smoochfest. And, who can forget Deeply Dippy?
The Simpsons Sing the Blues-
don't know why, just a hoot I guess. C'mon everyone, do The Bartman
!
60 Minutes with Zappacosta
- A great Canadian singer. Deserves to be better known worldwide.
Personal faves are I Think About You, Passion
and We Should Be Lovers.
The Hits
- Garth Brooks
thanks to Garth I decided that Country music IS cool. This has all his early hits.
My faves?? Callin' Baton Rouge
and Shameless
- a remake of the Billy Joel song. AND who can forget Friends in Low Places
?
Eric Carmen's Greatest Hits
- This guy is terrific. One of my favourite songs when I was a teenybopper was Change of Heart
. Now I love other songs like Make Me Lose Control
and That's Rock and Roll.
Neil Diamond- His 12 Greatest Hits
This one goes back a long, long way, back to the farm. I used to listen to this while
I did dishes. These may be Neil's best songs. Particular faves include Shilo
, Cracklin' Rosie
and Brooklyn Roads
. One of my happiest memories is taking my mum and my
sister to see Neil in concert in Edmonton.
Barry Manilow- Greatest Hits The Platinum Collection
- Laugh if you will, but I think Barry is cool. I'll still never forget his fabulous
concert that I went to in Grade 11 with my friends. It was my first concert where
I went with my friends and Mum and Dad didn't go with me! My favourite song is
still Mandy
.
Cliff Richard - 1980's
Okay...I know...after Barry Manilow, and now Cliff I have probably lost all credibility...right?
Well, I love Cliff. I always have. My favourites are Never Say Die, Pretty One
and Ocean Deep
.
Now That's What I Call Music! - 42
If I'm allowed to take both cds, great, if not, I'll take cd 2. It has Robbie Williams-Strong
, Blur-Tender
, and The Divine Comedy's National Express.
The latter sounds like a old swing type of song, but the lyrics are so nasty.
If it doesn't break the rules to take the first cd too, it has Cher's Believe
, and the ABBA Tribute- Thank Abba for the Music.
Cool stuff.
