I realize this entry has been here for some
time, but I just don't feel right about taking
it down until I can create a page about Pasty.
Hopefully I will be getting my scanner in 
another week, then i will begin work on that
very special page.

                            August 20/98

 
Duddly's Prairie Girl Patsy is no more.  She
died today, and was cremated.  For those of
you who didn't know Pasty, she was one of my
dearest friends.  She was so beautiful, and
had nothing but love in her heart.  

One of the hardest things I've ever had to do
was to leave her behind when I moved out.  She
was my best friend, and my pride and joy.  Patsy
was an amazing bull mastif, though she looked 
more Mastif then bull dog.  She was ten years 
old, and at that age, had reached her life
expectancy.  Her health had become steadily worse
since I moved away.  She had breast cancer, and
that had moved into her bladder.  There was an
opperation that could have been done, but at most
we could have only expected another year.  My 
parents, in my absence, made the choice to put her
down.  *crying*

We used to walk all over this city.  I remember the
first time we went out, our first walk.  Dad had 
told me not to run with her... of course I didn't
listen.  We ran and ran, she got tired and sat down.
She didn't get up for an hour.  I was stuck sitting
there with her on the curb until she decided to get
up again.  **tear filled smile**  We used to have
our own set of commands, "Look Pretty" was our 
favourite.  That's what we used to do whenever a cute
boy and his dog would walk by.  **laughing**  "Look
Pretty Patsy".  She would lift her head up high, and
do this little prissy gallop.  I'm really going to
miss her.  No one knew more about me.
