Trip to Italy and Greece |
Rome |
Assisi |
Assisi is a small town built on large hills. Home to St. Franchise and to this Ancient temple of Minerva (which I thought was the best part of the town) which the Christians have change into a church. Beside that there is the great views from the town out over the countryside, but be for warned if you go to Assisi you will climb a lot of steep hills. |
Welcome to the city founded by Romulus on April 21 , 753 B.C.E. Rome was the capital of the Roman empire and the center of the western Roman civilization . The photos here are of the ancient Roman forum which in fact Caesar himself walked through. |
These last three columns are all of what remains of the Temple of Castor and Pollux to honor the two demi-gods for helping the Romans at the battle of lake Regillus in 499 B.C.E. |
