my last holliday:  St MALO
MALTA island was my destination during a 5 days vacation in September 2001.
It's a nice, small, peaceful place.
It's a complete way of living and thinking, a mixture of East and West. All along it's history, it's been a place for nations to meet and exchange. Starting from the early Sicilians, and Phoenicians, to the Romans, Arabs, Turcs, and the Knights of St-John, to the French and British.
This made of Malta a special and unique place.
Maltese people, know how to enjoy their life. They take their time in smelling the flowers and laying under the sun. They learned patience from watching the sea waves endlessly runing towards the shore. The sea impact is very important on their life. It brought to them St-Paul since the early years of christianity. Since that time they have been fervent Christians. The religion has the second most important effect on their life. Saints are everywhere in the streats, Religious fieastas have nothing to envy for the spanish and italian festivals.
These are some of the pics i made during my holliday.
All Malta in this picture. The Sea, the sun and the patience.
The walls of Medina
The maltese way of life fits very well this cats resting on the harbour, on a sunny day of September.
Churches are everywhere in Malta. Notice the two clocks. One giving the real time , the other a false one, just to fool satan.
