I love 'em. The purpose of these pages is to recommend my favorite books to all who will listen.

Because I read on a wide variety of age levels (a by-product of all those teacher education courses) I've decided to divide my recommendations into two lists: children's and "grown-up". This is not meant in any way to discourage adults from reading the books I recommend for children. I still love children's literature. Today's picture books are nothing short of awesome, and many are really geared for more adult audiences anyway. Also, many of our most beloved classics (the ones that people actually do read) fall under the heading of young adult literature.
