Oraciones temporales:

Estas oraciones subordinadas van introducidas por las siguientes conjunciones de tiempo entre otras: when, as, while, until/till, after, as soon as, whenever, since, etc (Trad: cuando, cuando (como), mientras, hasta, después, tan pronto como, siempre que, desde).

Ejemplos:

I was reading the paper when the telephone rang

As I was walking down the street I met John

Drink a cup of coffee while you wait

I´ll stay here till/until you get back

After the customers had gone, the bartender locked the cafe

As soon as she arrives, I´ll telephone you

Whenever I see him, I feel sorry

I have lived here since 1993.

 

Oraciones finales:

Estas oraciones van expresadas por: to, in order to, so as to (tras estas debe ir infinitivo), so that, in order that.

Ejemplos:

I have come here to watch TV.

She wants to study German in order to work in Germany.

I have worked so hard so that you could study at the university.

They will sell their car in order that they can gave some money.
