Contrary to popular belief, this is not a picture of the 37th Virginia!

(Collections of the Library of Congress) In their popular CW Video, The Reenactors, Media Magic Productions' writers imply that this image represent soldiers of the 37th Virginia Infantry. This is an intriguing notion, but pure fiction nonetheless. Although we don't know what specific Federal regiment these soldiers belonged to, they are undoubtedly Federals, as evidenced by their clothing and the high quality photograph itself.
