"This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel
after that time," declares the LORD.
"I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God, and they will be my people.

It's amazing to me that after all God went through he never gave up - never stopped loving. The people didn't obey the covenant he gave them and they refused to take responsibility for their own part in where their nation was at. In vs 29-30 of this chapter they re still thinking they are reaping the curse of the sins of their fathers. It's after all this that God still wants to give them/us the new covenant... a greater covenant... he still wants this people/us as his very own.. he is willing to forgive all their sin! What we know and understand now, but the people of the day didn't, is that he was planning to sacrifice his son for this people... for us... amazing...humbling...
