"In all their distress he too was distressed... " -- Isaiah 63:9
This scripture reminds me that God really feels the pain in my life right alongside me. That is something that I lose sight of all the time. Many times my distress is caused by my own sin or bad decisions but even in those times God feels for me and with me. In moments when I've sinned or things aren't going well I can think of God as distant or uninvolved in my life until I 'get it together'... fortunately that is not God's character (because I've yet to get it together). He feels the pain of my life and helps me to get strong and get beyond it!!!
