Okay, first, cesspools. These people, basically, their inbox is a cesspool. All kinds of crap going on in there. They've basically got all sorts of jokes, stories and afghanistan women in their inbox and they send all this stuff out to their unwitting subscribers on their no doubt very long email list.
Black holes. You send stuff to these people, stuff that you're expecting an answer to. Stuff which deserves an answer. Nothing ever comes back. Ever. It gets to the point where you're unsure if they've even received your email. You start to suspect that they are no longer using that email address. Then, you run into them in person one day. And you start talking about the contents of the email that you wrote them. And they know exactly what you're talking about! They did read it after all! They just never responded.
Next category. E-obsessed. These people check their email as often as possible. Several times a day, certainly. If they're actually at a computer and online, it'll often be every fiteen minutes or so. Most people in the industry are of this type. Two people of this type sometimes treat email as an instant messaging service.
Um......I can't think of any more. I guess there's normal people. But they're just probably on the outer fringes of one of these three categories. So......no normal. Everybody can be divided into one of these slots. I love categorizing, stereotyping and slotting.
