The Seven Samurai is a great epic of Japanese cinema. A rural village, tired of perennially being robbed by bandits, decides to take action by hiring seven samurais as guardians. The result is a seemingly simple scenario of complex relationships, where no one is completely innocent, and hidden interests are eventually exposed.
