Trumpet. Richard, from Windham, New York, is retired after 27 years as a public school Instrumental Music teacher. He received his undergraduate Music Education at Boston Conservatory and Berklee. Graduate studies at SUNY, Oneonta, Elmira College and Long Island University. He studied trumpet with James Gendron, Raymond Katwika and Gerald Goegen. A member of the American Federation of Musicians, he has performed with many organizations in Maine and New York including Chandlers Band of Portland, Maine and The Columbia County Big Band. He has also perfomed in many Community Theatre Orchestras.

Horn. Kristen, from Athens, New York, has been playing with the Rip Van Winkle Brass since 1996 and has been playing horn since age nine. Mrs. Lindstrom studied privately with Morris Secon in the "3rd Street Music Settlement" in New York City and L. William Kuyper from the New York Philharmonic. She is a graduate of Central University of Iowa with a BA in music where she placed 1st horn for four years in the Mid American Intercollegiate Band. Mrs. Lindstrom has played in several groups in the Bergen County, NJ area as well as the Coxsackie-Athens Community Band, Columbia Greene Community College Wind Ensemble . She has played in musicals including "Jesus Christ Superstar", "Annie Get Your Gun","Peter Pan", Fiddler on the Roof, "Oliver" and at the present time "West Side Story" Mrs. Lindstrom teaches privately and is the director of "Kindermusik of Athens" that she began in September 1993.

Trombone.  

Tuba. Ann, from Hudson, New York, is retired after 37 years as a public school instrumental music teacher. She received a BS in Music Education from Hartwick College with a major in bass trombone. Graduate studies are from SUC at Potsdam & Albany, Ithaca College, and Russell Sage College. She has been guest conductor of several All County Elementary Bands in Columbia and Greene Counties. She was director of the Catskill Consort of Recorders for 15 years and director and tubist with the Twilight Brass Quintet for 8 years. She has been the conductor of the Coxsackie-Athens Community Band for 15 years. She is also director and performer with the Upper Hudson Lower Brass.
