MSS IN GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS



Graduation Requirements


The graduation requirements for MSS in Government and Politics program are as follows:
A student of this program will have to complete 66 credit hours (22 courses) out of which 30 credit hours (10 courses) are for the First Part and 36 credit hours (12 courses) are for the Final Part of the program. The students who did not have a 300-mark course on Political Science at their Bachelor's level will have to take 9 more credit hours (3 courses). Those who have obtained a 3-year BA Honors degreein Political Science will have to complete 48 credit hours (16 courses) and in case of a 4-year Honors degree, the students will have to complete 36 credit hours (12 courses). Besides, the students who have passed Preliminary Examination in Political Science will have to complete 48 credit hours (16 courses) in the program. A student must get at least a 'C' grade to pass an individual course.
In the Final Part of the program any of the following two alternatives may be offered subject to the approval of the Department:(i) To complete a Course work of 36 credit hours, Assignment and Final examination; (ii) To complete a Course work of 30 credit hours, Assignment, Final examination and a Thesis of 6 credit hours.
