Then Bildad replied:
"How long are you going to talk like this Job? You are full of hot air! Does God thwart justice? Does God do that which is wrong?
Your children were sinning against Him and he punished them for it. But he has given you the chance to plead with Him. If you will look to God and repent, He will still take you back and bless you. He will restore you to your rightful place. Things will start out small for you but you will have a wonderful, prosperous future ahead of you!"
Ask the older, wiser generation about these things. Ask them what they have learned from previous generations. We are young and know nothing compared to them. Let their words instruct you and teach you what you need to know."
They say...
'Can reed grow without water?
Though they tower high, they whither and die faster than the grass.
Such is the destiny of all who forget God.
The man who forgets God places his trust in things that are fragile.'
'The things he relies upon are like a spider's web.
He leans on it and it does not support him.
He grabs hold of it but it lets him down.
'He is like a well watered plant in the sun that grows up tall.
Once his roots hit rocks however, he is torn up from the soil and dies.
This plant dies and in the soil other plants grow.'
"God does not punish innocent people just as he doesn not reward the wicked. He will yet bring you laughter and joy. Your enemies will be punished for what they have done to you. Their households will not thrive on what they have stolen from you." Next Chapter - Job talks back!
