The most important thing for a seeker (someone who's looking for information on Wicca, usually because they're considering becoming Wiccan) to do is to read. Read everything you can get your hands on. You will find my booklist here, along with a link to Amazon.com, a company whose practices I resent but whose quality and service are impeccable. Many seekers decide, after researching Wicca, that it's not for them. That's fine. As long as your spirituality is what works for you, and you're not trying to cramp or confine parts of yourself--or other people--to fit it, I will encourage you wholeheartedly to do as much research on religion as you can. You can always convert from Wicca to something else, but then you may have caused others some grief or distress for nothing, and that's something to avoid. Know your facts. Know your self. Know what works for you, and what doesn't. Don't let anyone pressure you into something you don't want or aren't ready for.
Pagan literature abounds on the Net, and you can find just about any main piece of text. Two very important pieces of Pagan literature that I suggest you read are The Charge of the Goddess and the Charge of the God. You'll hear them referred to often in the Pagan community, although the Charge of the Goddess is significantly more popular.
