I worked a half day and then picked up the rental car, a Dodge Intrepid, at Logan Airport. Jess had to work a full day so we were not able to leave home until 17:00. We drove down I-95 the entire way into New Jersey and took Route 80 West to my parents' house. Throughout most of Connecticut and New York there was a horrendous amount of traffic on the other side of the highway, but we had relatively little traffic on our side and completed the 230 mile trip in just under four hours. This was the least exciting part of the journey; we just wanted to get this part behind us so that we would have four hours less driving for the rest of the trip.
