I want to be like the wildflower, The freest in all of the field, Yet..Oh, to be like the rose, Most graceful indeed in her yield. I want to be like the queen, Grasping the honor of royalty, Yet I want to be like the servant, To fathom the depth of humility. I want to be the young girl, To frolic in life at its best, Yet I want to be the known lady Of dignity, peace, and respect. I want to be the bright painting, A great work of art all take in, Yet I want to be a novel, mystery, Something new to discover again. I want to be clay submitted That spins in the Potter's soft hands, Yet..Oh, to be the strong Oak tree That firmly for ground will stand. I want to be all success And realize great dreams of my heart, Yet I want to be what You bless And what you will make me, each part.
