Vet Chair Veteran’s Day Message

November 11, Veterans Day will be on us soon. Take time to thank the veterans you meet, for it was they who gave their time and effort, and some the ultimate sacrifice so that this great nation of ours remains free.

One day prior to this there will be another celebration for the United States Marines, their birthday. For my comrades, "Happy Birthday" and SemperFi.

We have local offices that are participating in the Transition Assistance Program(TAP), at Fort Bragg, Seymor Johnson, Cherry Point, Camp Lejeune. The TAP provides separating military members the tools that they need to find jobs in the civilian sector. If you have an employer that it seeking workers with a good work ethic, stable work history, willing to work hard, you may want to contact the local veterans reps at these locations, so that they can pass these job openings to the separating veterans. Fort Bragg is the Fayetteville Office; Seymor Johnson at Goldsboro:Cherry Point at New Bern; and Camp Lejeune at Jacksonville. Let’s keep as many of these separating veterans in North Carolina as possible.

If you missed the ESC/NCIAPES Annual Institute in Greenville, you missed a lot of excellent information that was passed.

Want to learn what’s going on, what’s in the future, then join the organization.
