The Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting for the New Hanover County JobLink Career center was held on September 28th. Special guests included Tom Tewey, Chairman of the Cape Fear Workforce Development Board, Catherine VanSickle, Regional Manager of Region VI, Dr. J.Parker Chesson, Chairman of NCESC, and Chairman Bill Caster, of New Hanover County Commissioners and Cape Fear Consortium Member.
Region VI Awards Chair, David Pate, was outstationed to UNC-W. Willa Walker transferred to the Shallotte office on October 9th. Stan Thorne left us to work for BB&T
the following week. We also welcomed back Carl McIntyre as an Interviewer I.
