Varna is the sea capital of Bulgaria. It is a large cultural, commercial, transport, industrial and tourist center with population over 300 000 people. It is a desirable summer holiday place because of its beautiful beaches.

    The town has been built up in the VI century B. C. The monuments of Roman and Byzantine time, the oldest gold in the world, found in Varna necropolis are part of its rich historical heritage.

    Varna holds the Annual International Music Festival “Varna Summer” and organizes the oldest European Ballet Competition.
