Soon
Words and music Terry Taylor

And the river flows from the throne of God
Passing by the tree of life
And in this place no candle burns
For the Lamb shall be our light

See the holy City coming down from heaven
Neither be no tears, no night
We will reign with Him in raiment shining bright

Chorus:
And we say "Come Lord"
And He says "My reward is with Me."
And we say "Come Lord"
And He says "I am the First and Last"
The Bride cries even so, oh Lord when will my Love return?
We say "Come Lord" He says "Soon"

We will see His face
He will speak our name
And He'll wipe our tears away
He shall be our God
We shall be His own
And His love will light our way

There will be no sorrow
There will be no mourning
Death is vanquished on that day
Yes, come quickly, Lord
The Bride and Spirit say

Repeat Chorus ["We all say. . ."]

I see the holy City coming down from heaven
Neither be no tears, no night
We will reign with Him in raiment shining bright

Repeat Chorus

As the river flows from the throne of God
Passing by the tree of life
And in this place no candle burns
For the Lord shall be our light

Liner Notes:
"The production of this project has most certainly been a labor of love, and the realization of a dream nearly ten years old. I wish to salute Jonathan David Brown for his expertise in helping capture on vinyl the original concept of Shotgun Angel, but most importantly I want to give my deepest thanks, and restate my greatest affection for my brothers Jerry Chamberlain, Marty Dieckmeyer, Mark Cook, and Ed McTaggart, original Daniel Amos band members, and fellow explorers in musical excentricity. Without them, that is without their musical and spiritual camaraderie, this project would not have been possible.

"Together, boys, we took some chances and not surprisingly, God blesses. I remain inspired by that original vision, which God most definitely gave, wherein complacency had no stronghold, and the love of Jesus, as expressed through artistic originality and integrity, was at center. Being each one justified by God, we felt together that our art needed no justification, and therefore we were free to create. In this freedom, Shotgun Angel emerged, bearing the unmistakable mark of God, for which He alone will continue to receive the glory. This is a Gift of praise and thanks given back to the father, but in another sense it is a gift given also to you, my friends. I hope that with it I have made you proud. I love you, my dear brothers."
