Final Thoughts

I liked Portugal and will venture there again in the future. The people were friendly and helpful, the climate was in the mid to upper 60s °F (pretty good during the winter), the wine was of excellent quality, the pastries were delicious, and things were cheap! Additionally, the tourism bureau provided free maps, drew little diagrams, and suggested all sorts of things for me to do. Unlike Spain, their information people were actually helpful (details later).

I also liked the ethic mix of Lisbon. Many people from Portugal's former colonies (e.g. Brazil, Mozambique, Angola) have settled in the city which makes for an interesting display of different cultures.
