Memories
"Fates Entwined Are Not Denied"
From My Heart
And when all is said and done, memories remain.
Memories
The memory fades and
Touches my heart with fear
For the loss.
I must hold on for
It will be so long
Until I see your face,
Feel your touch
See the look in your eyes
That was for me alone,
In any place but
That memory.
Untitled
Dancing around the fringes of my mind,
Little glittering glimpses of memory
Of you and yesterday
Bring me peace and excitement
And hope for what will follow
Tomorrow.
Slipping in on my daily world,
Tiny shivers of pleasure
Left from our last encounter
Make me smile and consider
How wonderful the next meeting
Might be.
Til Tomorrow
Our time was so long ago-
They say time heals
And they say memory fades,
That hearts are mended
And wounds are healed,
But we had no time for
Broken hearts,
No time for wounding words,
So there is nothing
I need to forget,
Nothing I want to forget,
Except that you have gone,
And I hope each day
For the memory to
Remain strong and clear,
Until our time comes again.
I Remember
I remember
When we talked so softly
Of dreams and hopes,
Of fears and fantasies,
And shared the moments
Of our youth.
I remember
That you brought to my world
Friendship and warmth,
Laughter and joy,
And in memory
You live.
Hope
We thought the battle was won,
Pain could be put aside,
The future was safe,
Our tears could be dried.
But the fight rages on
With no end in sight,
And strength is waning
At the approaching night.
We try to say our goodbyes
While holding on to each day,
Living for the moment,
While our time slips away.
Whose grief is the greater
Is impossible to say,
The who must go or
The one who must stay.
I offer you my hand and
My heart goes with you
And the memories we make
Must see me through.
Farewell just for the moment,
For when time flashes by
Fate will bring us together
Forever, you and I.
Untitled
Starshine, moonlight,
Cool, crisp air,
The scent of pine on the breeze
Teases the senses.
The soul dreams of the future,
Remembers the past -
Memories of childhood.
Whispers
It takes only a whisp
Of scent
To bring you back
To me,
A memory evoked.
A ray of sunlight
In spring
And suddenly I
Recall
Days we spent together.
I can almost see your face.
I Will Never Forget
