I have found most articles about Bloodsports lacking, considering that Bloodsport is very different from Bloodletting. Bloodsport, in its beginnings, was a game. A game played by a group of individuals that like to consume blood of various large quantities. The game was played out by how much blood could be obtained, either willing or unwilling, throughout the night by a single player. You had Watchers that ruled over the players, so no cheating could exist. It was an elaborate group or cult at times that played. Some games went on between cities, or families (groups), sometimes they became very brutal and war like. These games existed years before White Wolf was ever invented, and considering that the original sport is probably a direct influence on the now role playish games existing today dealing with vampirism and occult. Those of the original Blood Sport can only laugh at these role players, playing within their safety limits of their mind. When the original Blood Sport players played, they played for real, dangers and excitement were on a real life scale, physically and mentally. Although most of the participants were people with the odd desire of blood, some of the participants were vampiric or supernatural in their form. The FBI ended most of the Blood sport games with most of the players still watched today. So, even though the games have decreased in size, they are still being played. by Is It Real
