A review
I appreciate Bernard’s efforts in the exposition of his thoughts (LINK below). He wants to share his ( somewhat idealistic ) ideas, and that is a sure indication of a mature way of thinking. An evident element in his ideology is his desire to speak up for those which according to him “do not possess a voice”, i.e., people in Third World countries and the outcasts of society. Bernard also possesses a tendency towards the artistic, thus he also wishes to promote creative endeavour in Malta, particularly in local literature. Although Malta and the Maltese feature in some of his articles, this is not dealt with in an insular fashion, but rather moves from the particular to what is common and universal.
His interest in world-wide events is also evident in the numerous links he has included in his site, which offer a lens upon what is happening around the globe, including also a news report.
By my comments I have not attempted to offer a glorified account of Bernard’s homepage, I am well aware of its shortcomings. However I still believe that it is worthy of praise, in that it deserves to be visited and commented upon. I regret that being in Maltese it is not accessible to many, however it should be considered as a Maltese effort towards Internet.
