- Balthasar Hubmaier arrived in Waldshut from Regensburg around this time and took a preaching position. While here he began reading Erasmus, Melanchthon and Luther.

- After visiting Regensburg and being invited to return there, Balthasar Hubmaier agreed to move back for one year.

- March 1525
- Conrad Grebel & Wilhelm Reublin came to town several times to visit Balthasar Hubmaier.
- 16 April 1525
- Wilhelm Reublin baptized a group of about 60 people on this Easter Sunday, including Balthasar Hubmaier. In the following days, Hubmaier baptized over 300 others using a milk bucket with water from the fountain in the town square.
- 17 April 1525
- Balthasar Hubmaier held a service with the newly baptized commemorating the Lord's Supper, including the practice of foot-washing. According to a cynical eyewitness, after Hubmaier finished washing the feet of the young women and came to the "old bucks" he complained of fatigue and had somone else take over.
