Walter Kerlinger, the Dominican Inquisitor, arrested over 40 men and women, possibly Beghards & Beguines, who were suspected of heresy. Most of them recanted, but 7 were burned at the stake.

A dozen members of the Flagellant Brethren were discovered here. All were burned to death as heretics, even those who chose to recant.
