- Christoph Schappeler was appointed preacher at St. Martin's church. He began preaching on social issues.

- Sebastian Lotzer joined the evangelical movement.
1525
- 24 February 1525
- The Memmingen peasants submitted to the city council a petition which had been written with the help of Sebastian Lotzer & Christoph Schappeler. The petition became the basis for The Twelve Articles.
- 6 March 1525
- The Twelve Articles were adopted by the Peasants Parliament. This meeting led to the formation of the Christian Union of Upper Swabia.
