Conrad Grebel arrived around this time in Maienfeld, 10 miles north of Chur. He probably stayed with his oldest sister who lived here with her husband. Conrad was already sick by this time, but may not have been aware that his days were numbered. [Moore, Portraits, p.43]

Conrad Grebel died of the Plague. He was 28 years old.
