Serpent. 6. Lucifer(?). II. Body. A. The devil: 1. Is the deceiver of the whole world: Revelation 12:9.(Note: I John 5:19). 2. Is the adversary of all people: I Peter 5:8. (Note: Acts 13:10). 3. Is the source of temptations: Matthew 4:1. (Adam & Eve). 4. Implants impure/ungodly thoughts in hearts: John 13:2.(Ananias & Sapphira). 5. Is an oppressor: Acts 10:38. 6. Ensnares people: II Timothy 2:26.(Even elders: I Timothy 3:6-7). 7. Is the father of lies(liars): John 8:44. 8. Keeps people from obeying the gospel: Lk. 8:12. 9. Possessed certain powers while upon earth: Luke 4:6. 1. This woman: Luke 13:16. 2. The power of death--today? Hebrews 2:14. 10. Uses several devices to accomplish his work: II Corinthians 2:11. 1. Lying wonders and signs: II Thessalonians 2:9. 2. Hindering disciples: I Thessalonians 2:18. 3. Afflictions: II Corinthians 12:7. 4. Accuses: Revelation 12:10. 5.
