Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, outlined how those who follow him can avoid the conflicts: calm the anxiety. 1. How much more pleasant would be our lives and others lives if we could master those conflicts. 2. Note: It is not without sacrifice, sometimes great sacrifice, that anxiety can be conquered. 3. Please be aware that certain anxieties require professional help: what the Lord presents is how to keep from letting the things of this life overwhelm the disciple. II. Body. A. The control one has over tomorrow is governed by what one does today! 3. In fact, one can only control the moment NOW--however, one's conduct can control one's eternity. 4. Solve one's troubles each day: do not carry into the future. 5. Most anxiety can be avoided by solving problems when they happen! 6. One cannot control tomorrow: only one's actions TODAY! III.
