A Walk in the Gentle Rain

I so enjoy little walks together in the Rain,
Though drenched hand in hand, we never seem to complain.

For we can both feel the freshness that each drop brings,
And from each sky-shed tear, new life shall spring.

We smell the wonderful perfume that accompanies this tender shower,
A sweet aroma which overcasts the scent of any flower.

And as this gentle rain washes out the old to make room for the new,
I send a little prayer t'wards heaven, thanking God for you.
