O' cursed stars in the dark hours of twilight
I gaze upon thee and disgruntly revel
In your flutter as I sip my wine.
Why must thou methodically waste your gleam
On this lonely night of solitude
Do as the sun and rest your eyes
Sleep a while with serenity and peace.
O' stars above just sleep and conserve
Your energy for a day more
For I have no tender love to call my own.
No gentle soul to share in an
enchanting embrace
Nor majestically peer upon your
undulling sparkle.
So go easy my little stars
Be still as dusk once more
Comes to thee.
And pray that swiftly as
An Aerian arrow soars
My true love will
Come to me.
