Yeah, sure they've got a rep for being arrogant bastards, but they're one of the best bands out there. This performance at the Gardens proved that.

Opening their set with "Be Here Now" from the album of the same title, they began their performance which consisted of tunes from all three albums, as well of a few b-sides. The Gallagher brothers have this certain presence on stage which seems to say: "Hey, we're Oasis, this generation's Beatles. You like us, great, if not-piss off!" The concert went on fairly uneventful… in other words, no one threw a shoe at Liam causing him to walk off the stage.

The highlight of the evening was by far Noel's solo set beginning with "Don't Go Away" to which the sold out crowd at the Gardens sang along to in perfect harmony and time. He then continued to play few b-sides including "Whatever". He ended it with a few bars of "Octopus's Garden" from the Beatles.

Overall, I think the show was great. Every song was perfectly done, with very few flaws in timing and rhythm, if there were any at all. Also the sound was amazing for a venue as huge as the Gardens. All five members of the band put in great performances. Liam and Noel stole the show of course, but I've gotta give the other 3 some credit here. Aside from the music, it was quite entertaining just watching Liam on stage. Whenever there was an instrumental part in a song, he'd roam around the stage, have a drink, smoke a fag, sit down a bit, through his tambourine around, fuck around with the mic.. you know, just being himself. I gotta say this though, the guy's inspired me to buy a tambourine!

After the show, I heard a lot of people complain that they weren't satisfied with the performance. I also heard the same thing on the radio, and in papers. I can't understand why though, I thought it was amazing, and I'm not THAT big of an Oasis fan. The only reason I can find for not giving them a perfect score is:

1. They didn't play "All Around the World" which I was really looking forward too.
2. Although Noel did cover "Octopus's Garden", it wasn't "Let It Be"

Okay maybe my expectations are a bit too high!
