I have some pretty strange friends.
But I really don't mind that.
Normal people aren't really much fun.
Take Simon, for instance.

Simon is the tallest guy in the whole wide world. Watching him stand up out of a chair is like some kind of
Weird origami in reverse. He just keeps unfolding and unfolding and unfolding.
Simon has more energy than anyone else I've ever met, anywhere.
Talking to him can be like having a conversation with the voices in your head.
You know, the ones that want you to strangle that small child.
I hope some day his girlfriend forgives him for the incident with the sword and the kitchen light.
Simon used to be roommates with Faust.

Faust has almost as much energy as Simon does.
But he's a much more fashionable dresser.
We used to call him Abercrombie, because that's what his favorite t-shirt said.
Fortunately, before they could work out how to take over the world from a table at Yesterday's,
Faust moved to San Francisco to go to school.
We all miss Faust. When he lived closer I would stop by to visit him
And he would take pity on me and feed me or buy me beer.
He also tells great stories.
Someday I'll make him write down the bean stew story.
Everyone needs a place to roadtrip to.

Rob and Ian are very kind.
Not only do they let me roadtrip to see them,
but they amuse me lots while I'm there.
I'm going to basic training soon.
I'll miss them lots.
This is Ken.

I first met Ken online, way back when.
Then I went on one of my infamous roadtrips out to North Carolina, and met him in person.
He dealt with being kidnapped by some weird chick from Illinois pretty darn well, I thought.
And as an added bonus, he has a great cat.
Back to the front!
