Pocketful of Dimes


So I set out with a pocketful of dimes
And a dream I had once of making it
I call you on the phone and I ask you to come
But you have dreams of your own
And a path you must walk
Which only intersects with mine it seems
So I set out with a pocketful of dimes

And I call her on the phone and I ask her to come
And she says yes but she has to wait
And tie up some loose ends
And I say loose ends are prettier when blowing in the breeze
I can't stop to tie the baggage down
So I set out with a pocketful of dimes
