Driving at night, I fell asleep on the steering wheel. I got in a major accident, and was unconscious. I woke up to see Jesus in front of me. I was surprised… Shocked… Happy… Scared… I don't know what I was feeling at the moment, but I was excited to know. "Have I been good enough, Lord, to share my eternity with You?" Without saying a word, a bittersweet smile appeared on His face. I will never forget the way He looked at me with His caring eyes and said, "you haven't finished your homework. For this, I will send you back. Do not be afraid, only believe…" "We got'im. He's breathin' again." I opened my eyes to see three doctors around me. "You've been given a second chance," one of the doctors said to me with a smile on his face. I tried to tell him that I know, but I couldn't speak. A couple of days later, I got out of the hospital. I tried to be a better Christian, but I never stopped wondering if I am doing my homework. I read the bible and prayed more often. The more I got closer to God, the more I realized that I am not doing all my homework. Often I got scared, but I remembered Him telling me, "Do not be afraid, only believe." I was comforted, but soon I remembered again that I need to work harder. My dear friend, are you doing all your homework? Do not fall asleep on the steering wheel like I did. Be conscience of your actions in life. Remember your eternity and always work towards it. If you ever get tempted, remember death, and all the attractions of life will fade away before you. Proclaim your weakness, and you will be more careful. It is written, "Therefore, you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect." Are you really finally "perfect"?
