What do you believe, then?

People, especially adherents of a traditional religion, are always asking me the question "what do you believe then?" - difficult to come out with a simple answer. Well it happens to be the fourth anniversary of my spiritual awakening which include the revelation of some material which has become known as the Axioms of Piers Clement, which is really the basis of what i believe although the groundwork was already there! The original was in four pages but i'll try to condense it into one - anyone curious enough to want to know more is invited to read the Axioms!

The four cornerstones of the Axioms (everything seems to go in fours) are boundlessness, a cosmic supporting force, determinism and the existence of a higher reality.

The purpose of life is seen as a journey to something called Transition which is not defined since we don't know what it's like until we're nearly there, but the journey is expected to take several lifetimes. Methods of progressing on the journey are (4 again) study, communication, spiritual practice, dedicated action.

There are life style rules but not imposed by an authority - everyone is supposed to make their own, based on two underlying principles: respect for the integrity of the human body and respect for the integrity of all sentient beings. "There is one line joining all living beings" is the slogan.

Well that's it i suppose - shorter than i thought!
