Chloquin has two schools, an Elementary and a combined Jr./Sr. High School. The schools are right next to each other and are serviced by the same buses. The Elementary and High School are separated by a foot ball field.
The City of Chiloquin has a population of about 800 people, and many more in out lying areas. For things to do Chiloquin has a small library, a park with some playground equipment, and base ball fields. It has two grocery stores, a Rack 'n' Snack restraunt, and a small airport for personal airplanes and emergency craft. There are four to five churches in the area for anyone religious.
Near by is the small town of Fort Klamath which is also serviced by the Chiloquin schools. Also that way is Oregon's only national park, Crater Lake National Park, the deepest lake in the nation.
The Kla-Mo-Ya Casino recently opened. It is a joint project of the three local Indian tribes. If you are over 21 you can try your luck next time you're in the area. If you are not interested in gaming they also have a very good family buffay featuring local foods.
