is for forgiveness.
We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God's forgiveness.
Ephesians 1:7 says that, "In Him {meaning Jesus}, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." We are free from our sins because Jesus died a sacrificial death on the cross for us. When He did this He took on the sins of everyone to ever live so that we wouldn't be punished for them if we simply ask for His forgiveness.
is for available.
God's forgiveness is available. It's available for all because John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." No matter what you have done, God will forgive you. However, this forgiveness isn't automatic. Matthew 7:21 tells us that "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter into the kingdom of heaven."
is for impossible.
It's impossible for God to allow sin into heaven. As the perfect Creator, God cannot look at sin. Therefore, sinful people can't be allowed into heaven. God is love, as we've seen in John 3:16, and He's also just ("For judgment is without mercy." James 2:13) But man is sinful. Romans 3:23 tells us "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Since God can't look upon sinful men you might be wondering, how can a sinful person enter heaven where God allows no sin?
is for turn.
Turn means to repent. Repent is a "churchy" word but it basically means to change. You turn from something which is your sin and yourself. Luke 13:3 tells us that "Unless you repent you shall all likewise perish." Then we turn to someone which is Christ. According to 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and He was buried and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures." Also, Romans 10:9 tells us that "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
is for heaven.
Heaven is eternal life. It's here because Jesus says in John 10:10, "I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly." But heaven is also in the hereafter. Jesus also tells us in John 14:3 that "If I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you to Myself that where I am you may be also."
After reading all of this you may be asking yourself how can a person have God's forgiveness, heaven and eternal life, and Jesus as personal Lord and Savior?
The answer's really quite simple. You put your trust in Him and earnestly ask the Lord for forgiveness. Reread Romans 10:9 under "T." If you've never done this before and would like to become saved (another "churchy" word but this one means you'll be spared from an eternity in hell and will instead go to heaven to spend eternity with Jesus) pray sincerely the following prayer as you repent of your sins and trust Jesus and Him only to save you.
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe You died for my sins and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day on, I will follow You by living a life that pleases You. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for loving and forgiving me. Amen.
If you just prayed that prayer, congratulations! I'd like to be the first to welcome you into the family of God. If you haven't made that step I encourage you to do so. We aren't guaranteed tomorrow and it's sad to think anyone would have to go to hell because they decided to reject heaven and God's forgiveness.
