searching
I found you
you made me smile
you made me happy
you taught me how to laugh
and when I found you
you and all your perfectness
your splendor and your glory
I smiled at you
you smiled back
and then I loved you
(I still do)
I smiled at you
I shared my secrets with you
you looked at me like I was perfect
you made me happy
you completed me
and you saved me from myself
you made me forget my problems
you made them disappear
you made me forget everything but you
you made me perfect
and then I left you
I am a better person now
now that I know I'm strong
I know I can survive
my life is better now
I can laugh without you
