Why did you have to leave so suddenly without saying good-bye
The pain and sorrow I felt shown a little tear drops in my eyes
I know you loved me and love I was never denied
I guess death just crept up on you and took you by surprise
Maybe that is why you never got to say good-bye
Going through all of the letters and cards you sent me
I see you were kind, sweet, caring and that you will always be
I know I will get that love back someday that once seemed so strong
The love that seems to slip away as the whole in my heart seems to
enlarge
I hope you aren't cold in that dark, dreary cemetary
Only time can heal a loss so great
It will scab, heal, and soon be nothing more than a scar in my memory
