Thoughts of You

As I sit here last night
with sweet thoughts
of you in my mind
An angel came down
and sat by my side
we sat for hours
and talked about you
a favor that I asked from her
she said she would do
she said she would be back before light
with a blink of an eye
she was gone in the night
she was back in a flash
with a smile on her face
and this is her account
of what had took place...
she said, "You were sleeping
so soft in your bed
you looked like a angel
from Heaven," she said
she kissed your cheek and whispered
"I love you"
in your ear
and down you cheek
rolled a silent tear
so when you awake
be sure not to miss
the love that you felt
was my lonely kiss.
