Those Eyes

by Sarah Little (15)

Eyes like a tiger, Bitter-sweet with sorrow,
Look through souls some how,
Things are wrong,
You make them look right,
They take me away,
I look in them,
I see nothing,
Just blackness, where I should be,
Blackness like the night,
But it is always day in your mind.
They entrance me,
They lock me up in the unknown,
The unknown of what's in your mind.
Even with being so close,
I still can't see through your eyes.
They don't give a reflection,
They don't give anything,
Nothing but something,
Something to wonder.
Wonder, I wonder what's inside.
Inside that silent mind,
Behind those silent eyes.
What goes on there?
What is it they see in me,
Or do you see me at all?
