The Day You Came

by Kim Parker (16)

The day you came,
We knew nothing would be the same,
There was no shame nor anyone to blame.

You were so tiny,
Your nose was little and shiny,
Your head was full of hair,
and you really liked to stare.

Your parents were proud,
and so was the whole crowd,
A precious baby boy,
Who will bring lots of joy.
