I didn't realize until today,
how many days I've wasted away
There's so many things I wish I could take back
I wasn't thinking and my kindness lacked
But you, so kind, gave me a try
You've taught me so much and lifted my spirits high
You would always try to understand
And no matter how dirty, you'd hold my hand
You gave me everything and so much more
You were the key to my door
You touched me deeply, like no other
