Missing My Childhood

by Jeff Davis (14)

Things are so different now,
I'm no longer the same.
My innocence is gone,
Growing up is to blame.

I miss the days of carefree life,
Now they seemed to be filled with strife.
Right and Wrong no longer exsist,
My days of good and sweet will be surely missed.

I look at myself at little different these days,
The rest of my life lies ahead in the haze.
My goodness and love are nowhere in sight,
I replaced them with hate and my will to fight.

Friends are now capable of breaking your heart,
People are leaving now you must part.
The life I want back is far far away,
I long for my childhood a little more everyday.
